i will never beat the david lynch dick riding allegations. watched this for the first time in high school and have probably thought about it weekly ever since. considering the time and circumstances this was made under (nearing the close of the new hollywood era, independently sourced funding by lynch and made over the course of a prolonged 7 year production) it’s damn impressive and especially considering this was his feature debut. notably, the sound design (done by lynch himself) adds this whole other layer of verisimilitude to lynch’s distortion of what he experienced living in Philadelphia on top of the gorgeous high contrast B&W photography. but really the crowning achievement of this movie truly is that Jack Nance had to keep that haircut throughout the entire 7 years of production. he must’ve been slingin’ mad puss.

I was watching this and kept waiting for Ironman or Hulk or even Thog to show up (and I fucking hate that guy). But then it just ended, I rolled over all my budlight cans to turn the tv off bc I didn't even wanna see who made this shit. David Lynch (or should I say David Pynching off a huge turd) Stan Lee would be rolling in his grave if he knew what you did to the MCU. Maybe Earserhead 2 will be better.

you would of understood it if u watched the 3 prime original tv shows he made leading up to the movie or the after credits of the last 5 movies in alphabetical order
