hey everyone! was in CA 4 about a week dealing w some personal stuff n spending time w my closest friends so it was kinda hard 2 update the site while i was gone but when i got back yesterday i was able 2 buckle down and get something rly special 4 u guys working... due 2 how big this one is it will be formatted a tiny bit differently... but without further ado...
FORUM STUFF

. LIGHT MODE AND DARK MODE HAVE BEEN SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVED AND ADJUSTED!!.... the themes have clearly changed a tiny bit but it should be the same old-school theme u guys have grown 2 love... due 2 the custom webpages conflicting with the theme and not displaying correctly i had 2 rebuild both the dark and light themes one module and template at a time... this took me from start 2 finish about 4 hours.... nothing technical... just line by line busy work.... this sucked so bad but it was rly worth it imo
. more games!... tetris is now stable and working as long as ur on desktop,, i added a sorta ripoff wordle cuz the real version u have 2 pay 2 host on ur site (NYT go 2 hell)... will add more very soon just ask if theres anything specific u want!
PROFILE STUFF

. CUSTOM PROFILES/WEBPAGES ARE HERE!!!... i did a lot in this department that i will go over but if u dont prefer 2 read,, the "account details", "profile block settings" and "style settings" are where u will find literally everything u need 2 make everything about ur profile completely ur own... everything following this is going 2 be going in detail on all of the added functions... get ready! here are all the functions sorted by their tabs in each settings menu
"STYLE SETTINGS"
. avatar frame: self explanatory add a frame 2 ur existing avatar/pfp!!
. custom title style: u like ur username style but wanna add something else 2 ur profile? add a subtitle to ur profile! (see @grayfish 🦆 for a good example) animate and style them however u like and spice up that already awesome username!
. postbit/post style: wanna spice up ur posts? add a background 2 ur icon that shows up when u reply... even just reply in a set style? go crazy! u can adjust all of that in this tab!
. profile style: miss the old days of tumblr or myspace when u could customize ur profile 2 make it truly urs? well now theres nothing 2 miss!! customize ur background,, page colors,, even add a custom header u can import! make ur page truly urs on 4TNW!... the options look simple but theres a lot of tools in this department (alongside profile blocks) that i think everyone will have a lot of fun making their individualized profiles... i'll try n rly pimp out my profile soon so u guys can see the true potential + i can't wait 2 see how ppl utilize it 4 themselves!!
. tooltip style: wanna make that little thing that pops up when u hover over ur profile look cooler? go crazy!
. username style: see everyone with flashy usernames and don't rly like any of the pre-made styles?... hell just wanna make ur own? go 4 it! w the username style tab u can do just that! (the sparkles should be fixed by the end of the day//tmw... j some bad files)
"PROFILE BLOCK SETTINGS"
. add music and videos onto ur profile! is the website not listed? use the "text" block to embed/make links 2 whatever site u prefer! get real creative w this one... i plan on going absolutely crazy with it (twitter is not working bc elon musk doesn't allow outside calls 2 user profiles if u aren't logged in.... fucking idiot) everything else should be working awesome tho!
. u can place them on either side of ur profile or where the profile posts typically are!
"VANITY URL"
. want a clean cut URL 4 ur now pimped out profile 2 show other people? something like this: forumthatneverwas.com/almodammer
. no weird numbers no weird website leftovers... u can now make nicer URL's 4 ur profiles! for this setting make sure 2 navigate to the dropdown when u click on ur profile in the top right and click on vanity URL... i don't think it's located anywhere else
the main thing i want 2 highlight is that the settings i have enabled allow u 2 go absolutely apeshit with ur profile... so rly make it urs... google some stuff,, try some stuff,, if its ugly erase it and try new stuff... rly work on this bc i think u will be proud of the end result... im rly excited 2 see how u guys use this!!

. reputation system... not based on reactions or likes just based on how much u post... kinda like a forum leveling system possibly with cool visual rewards... ideally will have some sort of badge or trophy system now that credits are in play and i've developed this idea a bit more
. some sort of purchaseable reward w credits... a shop system.... maybe special emojis or username styles? idk...or adminstrator privileges for a fixed amount of time 0_0.... who knows
. fixing the "latest poster" display attached to each forum... i have it working correctly in the what's new section (big icon for original poster, small icon for latest reply) but its j not working on the frontpage... working on it (i have slightly given up on this... lol)
. calendar... self explanatory... just wanna have dates and times for organized events
. adding more games cuz that shit is awesome and cool pls suggest games
. similar to the interest system i want 2 make a lottery system (players can possibly win the lottery if they buy tickets) or maybe add raffles for custom prizes (idk yet) or even a stealing function (users would have a % chance to steal someone elses credits... if they try and succeed then damn rip but if they fail a % of the thiefs credits are taken away)
. with this new chat framework i'm actually able to make chat rooms pretty easily... j trying 2 figure out how i would want it implemented where it isnt pointless or obsoletes the main chat
. with the sportsbook framework i can actually make a survivor type game for sports teams (everyone chooses a team for the week and whoever's team wins the most games gets to be in the hall of fame... something like that?)
. video FILE integration... videos from URL's werent 2 hard but now i need 2 implement ppl being able to post their own videos from their phones or from their computer... kinda like a community youtube (or even as an attachment in a forum post)
. featured post of the day/funny video tournament.... the latter is more organization than any technical task
. many many more smilies/emojis.... u guys rly seem 2 love those n theyre rly easy 2 find xml files 4
. cleaning up interfaces... making sure theres a bit less jank all around
. avatar creator (shoutout evan)... this one will be difficult but i may be able 2 manage something

this update was so big i honestly feel like there are a lot of small stuff i forgot... but i think there's a lot 4 u guys 2 sink ur teeth in w this update.... ik some of u were RLY waiting on this custom webpage update and i hope i didnt keep u guys waiting 2 long... ik i always end this w a gay lil thank u but im rly amazed at how well this website has been recieved... janky-ness and all... keep in mind this website hasn't even been publicly been shared and we've exceeded 60 forum posts and almost 200 messsages... im kinda blown away... u guys come back day after day and engage and talk and post.... god damn man shit j feels good 2 make something my friends love... so i guess i'll seal the deal here:
